5. Mandatory Author Declarations
These declarations go before the References.
A. Conflict of interest
Declare any financial, personal or institutional conflict of interest. If there is none: "The authors declare no conflict of interest regarding the research, authorship, or publication of this article."
B. Data availability
State how the underlying data, code or calculations can be accessed, using one of these forms:
- "The datasets generated during this study are available in [Repository Name] at [DOI/URL]."
- "The data that support the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request."
- "All relevant data generated or analyzed during this study are included within this published article."
C. Generative AI in writing
If generative AI or AI-assisted tools were used, include the disclosure required by the Generative AI Policy. If none were used, this section may be omitted.
6. Copyright, Open Access and Licensing
- EJFE is a fully open-access journal; articles are published under CC BY 4.0.

- Authors retain copyright and grant EJFE the right of first publication.
7. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- Amount: GBP 950, covering double-blind review management, typesetting, DOI registration, archiving and open-access infrastructure.
- No submission fees: there is no fee for submission or peer review.
- Timing: the APC is invoiced only after the manuscript has passed peer review and been formally accepted. Payment details are on the invoice.
